What will happen to the Disney plus shows that are supposed to air in 2023?

     Secret Invasion is Marvel's first series to come out of 2023. It stars Samuel L Jackson who finally gets his time in the spotlight with a solo adventure. Loki season 2 will be releasing on October 6, 2023, and will be continuing Loki's story from season one as well as introducing a new version of Kang which was teased at the end of Quantumania. Echo will release on November 29, 2023, and will be the first MCU series to release all its episodes at once. There are four Disney plus series that are currently set to release in 2023 but don't have exact release dates. With three marvel series already airing this year and the fall release dates of Loki and Echo not leaving much room for anything else; it begs the question of whether these shows will release in 2023 or 2024.

What If... Season 2

    The first season of What If... was a fun and unique outing for the MCU and was also the last time that the legendary Chadwick Boseman portrayed the Black Panther. The first season will be difficult to follow up, but the possibilities are endless with the show being able to do just about anything with the MCU characters without worrying about the bigger picture of the MCU. The second season was set to release in early 2023 but early 2023 has passed and we haven't heard anymore news about What If... this year. It's certainly possible that this show could release at the end of the year, but it is more likely that we will see it in early 2024.

Ironheart

    Dominque Thorne debuted as Ironheart in last year's Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Ironheart will also be the debut of Marvel supervillain, The Hood, played by Anthony Ramos. Not very much is known about the plot of Ironheart but we do know that it will continue Riri Williams story from Black Panther and that means we might see some familiar faces from Wakanda. Ironheart was set to release Fall 2023 which at this point we know that's probably not going to happen; my guess is that we'll see Ironheart debut sometime mid 2024.

X-Men '97

    The 90's X-Men series is one of if not the best Marvel animated series of all time. The beloved marvel cartoon is nostalgic for many Marvel fans of all ages. X-Men '97 is said to be picking up where the original series left off while keeping the original animation style mostly intact. The series already has a second season confirmed and this iteration of the team will be led by Magneto. The series was set to release Fall 2023 and out of all the shows on this list is the most likely to still release this year. The show could release this holiday season or surprise us by actually releasing this fall. Of course, there is also the chance that it is pushed back to next year but if any of these shows will release this year my money is on X-Men. 

Agatha: Coven of Chaos

    Kathryn Hahn's Agatha Harkness was one of the best parts of WandaVision. The last time we saw her character she was stuck in character as Agnes. We don't really know anything about the plot yet, but we do know that Aubrey Plaza has been cast in an undisclosed role. The show was originally titles House of Harkness but was changed to Coven of Chaos next year. It was set to release in Winter of 2023 but has experienced production issues and almost certainly will be missing the deadline. Agatha probably won't be release until late 2024.
