Why Namor should be getting more attention
The tragedy of Namor is that hardly anybody even knows who he is, even though he is the oldest marvel character that is still active in the comics. His copycat, Aquaman, is a lot more popular than he and has appeared in many movies and TV shows. Namor deserves more recognition as the grandfather of mutandkind and as Marvel's King of Atlantis. Namor has a rocky comics history with Black Panther, when he had the power of the phoenix force, Atlantis became the only outside force to ever conquer Wakanda.
Thankfully, Namor finally has a chance to shine in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. He appears to be the villain and even though he might start out that way, my guess is that there will be another villain in play here. Namor is a character who always has a reason for what he does no matter how evil that thing is, there will definitely be two sides to the story in the new Black Panther movie. Tenoch Huerta will be the actor playing Namor in the MCU. I think it makes sense that they're making Namor a latino character, especially if they are basing Atlantic in the waters of Central America and taking a lot of inspiration from Aztec culture.
There was also two more Atlantean characters confirmed for Black Panther II. Namor's cousin, Namora, is also a half-human, half-Atlantean. She was an important member of the Agents of Atlas, led by Jimmy Woo, so that opens up some cool opportunities there. Another confirmed Atlantean is the super strong, Attuma, who will probably end up being the true villain of the movie. Attuma is Namor's Archenemy and a warlord obsessed with conquering Atlantic. Hopefully, Namor continues to play a part in the MCU after Black Panther in something like the new Fantastic 4, the upcoming Avengers movies, or even his own Disney Plus series.
