Everything you need to know about the new Predator movie

 

In December 2019 there was news about a new movie called Skulls which was to "follow a Comanche woman who goes against gender norms and traditions to become a warrior." It was revealed later in 2020 that it was just a codenamed for a new movie in the Predator franchise. This movie is called Prey and will be a prequal to the other four predator movies.

Prey is kind of the origin story of the Predator and how it came to Earth. It focuses on girl named Naru and the rest of her Comanche tribe. Naru wants to be a hunter and a warrior but nobody else believes that she can do it. From the looks of the trailer this looks to be an action-packed thriller and it could possibly reinvigorate the Predator franchise as a whole. 

The movie is set in 1719, which means that the heroes should definitely have a hard time fighting a technologically advanced alien like the predator. They are showing the movie early at the San Diego Comic Con, so we'll probably hear more about the movie when that happens, but I for one am excited to see more Predator action and I'll be watching it when it comes out exclusively on Hulu on August 5th this year.
